7.0.4 not so fast on moded site :(

Just had my host upgrade me to 7.0.4 and I use gtmetrix.com to check my site page load times, stats ect. Well my site page load time used to be around 4-6 seconds and page size about 400Kb now with the upgrade my page load times are way above 10 seconds and the page sizes have jumped to 600kb. Damn I really thought my site would be faster guess not. Maybe it will without any mods or custom templates but that would be boring :( anyway that's my experience with the upgrade..I supposed my site is better now only for the security enhancements and the anti-spam thing.. GO BOONEX..i want 7.0.3 back.

Damn i can't wait for Dolphin10 to be released, Its gonna be awesome :)

If you disable the mods and go back to the original template, does it load fast?

Chances are, the mods need to be updated.

Happiness is a warm gun.

agree with you man all the page still loading like before everytime you go to new page like forum, photos, videos, or chat

the page take like 10 seconds to load and pop up

but this is ridiculous if you go to http://www.boonex.us all the page load in 1 seconds

That's wat i call fast but tell me if you guys upgrade new version to be more faster and optimized why the page are still taking 10 seconds or more to load

Boonex.us demo site page load in 1 seconds

Boonex Customers Sites load in 10 seconds or more

Post Reply - if you going to help - No for - bla bla bla bla

BoonEx has a dedicated server customized solely for their scripts. They also use Nginx instead of Apache.

I was talking to UFO360. Apologies if I confused you. If you're on a VPS, you have the advantage of being able to customize your server's settings to match your site's needs. I recommend you do a little reading: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/HostingServerSetupRecommendations.

It can not be slower at all. It was no changes which could affect performance in a bad way.

It maybe that cache files is not created yet, please run test twice, first one to create cache files and second one with cache files created.

Also check if all cache settings are ON in admin panel.

By the way many things can affect performance:

- current server load

- network speed

- site content

- 3rd-party mods

- different Dolphin and server settings

during your tests many of above things could be changed and affect test's result
