do you have a .htaccess file in the root of your site? https://dolphin-techs.com - Skype: Dolphin Techs |
There is something wrong with your installation. The .htaccess file might be missing. I will take a look at your site if you like; send me a PM with your info. Geeks, making the world a better place |
what do you need from me to check my site? |
what do you need from me to check my site? If you will PM me the access info, FTP and Admin to the site, I can then check things. Is this a clean install of 7.1.4, or an upgrade or what? If you want to wait and set up a temp FTP account then let me know when it is ready. Or if you have cPanel I can work through that; you can always change your password later to lock me back out. i`ve just sent you the access details by message |
Thanks but I can not get in, check and make sure it is correct. Geeks, making the world a better place |
sorry about it. Now i`ve sent you the new pass. it is working now |
It appears that you have replaced the .htaccess file that Dolphin has. What I can do is to add your .htaccess to the Dolphin .htaccess and that should fix the problem if there are no problems with your .htaccess. Geeks, making the world a better place |
@geek_girl. It is very possible that .htaccess your seeing is the default provided by most cpanel setups. You should replace it with the dolphin version. Not merge them. My guess is that the .htaccess was not uploaded. Common new install problem. https://www.deanbassett.com |
Yes, I removed the old .htaccess and uploaded the one from the 7.1.4 zip file and the menu is now functioning. Looking through that old .htaccess file seems to be as you indicated. If the user here did not add it then it is good to go. I noticed when I renamed the old .htaccess, a new one with zero bytes was created for me. Looking at Host Tools, everything appeared to be fine. OKs down the line and Permissions were set as well. Geeks, making the world a better place |
@ mincho123; if you find any additional problems, let us know and we will try to help. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Note: I did not remove the .htaccess from the server, I renamed it to .htaccess.gg in case you need to access it. Geeks, making the world a better place |
thanks a lot for your help geek_girl. Now it seems everything is working |
