How to create 'new' top menu item with mixture 'old' sub-menu items?

I'm trying to create a new top menu tab call "Media Library" that will include sub-menu items Photos Home, Videos Home, Files Home, etc.  Then I will hide the top menus for all the same media types, thereby consolidating menu items to save top menu space.  I've made the changes but when I click on the sub-menu for say Media Library > Photos Home... the sub-header area does not display, i.e. the area between the breadcrumb and the top menu that should display the icon, title and 3 actions buttons.  What (sub header?) code needs to be changed to allow the sub-header info to show with the Media Library icon and title... plus the appropriate 3 actions buttons, e.g. Photo Actions for Photos Home, Video Actions for Video Home?

we had BIG issues with navigation due to the cmplexity of our sites functionality. The soultion was an extra top menu built into the header with a dropdown of related subs. We had to have it built by gorpus... but is looks way cool and simplifies what we are trying to achieve...

@DRautenbach

I've looked at your site several times over the past few months.  I like how you've added a customized "header menu" to show specialized areas.  I'm not sure if I need something that detailed and it seems to me the issue I've raised should not be that difficult a problem to resolve... but maybe it is.  I just noticed that your site appears to be having a similar problem with your Directory tab, i.e. the sub-menu only appears some of the time.

There must be a way to control how the sub-header will display certain types of pages, e.g. all pages that would normally be under the Photo's top-menu tab.

Note: the sub-header, for sub-menu pages, displays correctly *IF* I use new php webpages based on the about_us.php page (located at the root of the website).  I created several of these "content" pages and they all show the top-menu title and icon in their sub-header.  Why won't this work for Photo's Home and Video home under a new Media Library tab?

Dolphin bein the pain in the ass that it is, this is the kind of issue I think we can expect. lets be honest, the script is freakin complicated, it has to be to do what dolhin can do. Its these small issues that bug me, and i think most peole though.

I'd like to get it sorted, but I spend much of my time just trying to keep my site stable.

Hope you get a fix though buddy... let us know if one turns up : )
