By altering the name in the form, you are actually creating an additional album, which I assume also becomes the default album.
I find this totally confusing.
I would much prefer to see this field change the name of the existing Default Album from nickname's Photos to My Photos, or whatever.
Otherwise, the form caption should read: Create a new default Album and the field should be blank.
My preference is for Admin's to use the field to change the existing album's name.

View full photo in timeline and play videos in timeline

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/View-full-photo-in-timeline-and-play-videos-in-timeline

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/View-full-photo-in-timeline-and-play-videos-in-timeline

I have been developing a site for a client and one request was that the full image be displayed in the timeline. Currently a cropped square image is displayed with a link to the photo in the photo album.
The other request was to have the video play directly in the timeline. Currently a cropped image is displayed with a link to the video in the video album.
I have implemented both of the above and I do think it is an improvement in the timeline. To get the video to play in the timeline is simple. The array contains a source value and it is either "video" for an uploaded video or "YouTube" for an embedded YouTube video (it would be nice if we could embed other sources; such as BitChute for one). Once you check for the source of the video, you simply form the required iframe code to insert in the timeline; either using the Cheetah player for the uploaded video or the YouTube iframe code for the embedded YouTube video.

Posting Photos Without A Title

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Posting-Photos-Without-A-Title

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Posting-Photos-Without-A-Title

When a member adds an image to their gallery, Cheetah replaces the Title or caption with the image file name if the poster fails to add their own title. This can lead to images having ridiculously long and stupid titles which can ruin an otherwise well presented gallery.
As some people may not wish to add a title to some of their photos, the simple solution is to make titles optional on the Add Photo (Video) page. Nothing is lost and they can always add one later.
Cheetah can still use the file name in the background to do all its chores.

Suggested Photo Module UPGRADE

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Suggested-Photo-Module-UPGRADE

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Suggested-Photo-Module-UPGRADE

I've placed a PDF in my Files folder but I'm not sure if everyone can download it. If not, let me know and we can work something else out.
It's a revamped proposal to UPGRADE the existing photos Module, not redesign it. My thinking is that Deano has a lot on his plate already and completely redesigning something that works okay, albeit poorly is probably not a good idea at this time. I believe that some changes could be made quickly, but others may need a lot more time.
Oddly, it fits in with the module Geek_Girl mentioned in a forum post, but I had done my original version using HTML blocks and links.
It's just a discussion paper, but hopefully it will help people to come up with a few ideas.

Photo Upload Form Improvements

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Photo-Upload-Form-Improvements

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Photo-Upload-Form-Improvements

This is a two part suggestion.
The main reason we have friends is to share stuff with them that we wouldn't normally share with other members. More often than not it's photos or videos.
It's unreasonable to expect a member with limited computer knowledge to create a new Album for their friends and select "Friends as the "Allow Viewing Album To" filter.
Most people will never think of clicking the little down arrow in the Album field and that's discussed in the second part of this suggestion.
Predefined Friends Only option in Photo Upload Album Field:
UPLOAD PHOTOS
XXXX's Photos
XXXX's Cover Photos
Friends Only
Create New Album...
Note: The username in these options isn't necessary. It would be far better and more user friendly if the options read:
My Photos
My Cover Photos
Photos For Friends Only (or just Friends Only) preset to display photos (and videos) for viewing by friends.
Create New Album...
Every time the phrase XXXX's Photos appears on the site, the username of the contributor is also displayed. Thus the phrase is repeated and unnecessary.
Please Select . . . Should always be The First Option (My opinion)
The small down arrows are nerdish and very hard to see on smaller devices. I prefer Modzzz's approach when dealing with drop-downs by using "Please Select . . " as the first option. This makes it unmistakably clear to the user that there are additional options to choose from.
