Cheetah doesn't have this feature, instead it allows admins to group Profile questions and answers into sections, but those sections are all on the same page.
If the site admin wants members to answer several questions, Profile Tabs offer several advantages. A member's location details can be in one tabbed section and his/her interests can be placed in another. Not only does this make things look more organised, if the member forgets to save their work they only lose a little bit of information which can easily be fixed. If the Edit Profile section is one long form, the member could lose everything if they forget to save.
Profile Tabs and Profile Edit Tabs should be an option because admins who only require a few questions to be asked, may not need them.
I recommend that Profile Tabs and Profile Edit Tabs become a feature of Cheetah.
The ability to change all features of the TAB buttons should be in a simple and annotated CSS file.

Suggested Photo Module UPGRADE

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Suggested-Photo-Module-UPGRADE

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Suggested-Photo-Module-UPGRADE

I've placed a PDF in my Files folder but I'm not sure if everyone can download it. If not, let me know and we can work something else out.
It's a revamped proposal to UPGRADE the existing photos Module, not redesign it. My thinking is that Deano has a lot on his plate already and completely redesigning something that works okay, albeit poorly is probably not a good idea at this time. I believe that some changes could be made quickly, but others may need a lot more time.
Oddly, it fits in with the module Geek_Girl mentioned in a forum post, but I had done my original version using HTML blocks and links.
It's just a discussion paper, but hopefully it will help people to come up with a few ideas.

White list of allowable iframe video sources

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/White-list-of-allowable-iframe-video-sources

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/White-list-of-allowable-iframe-video-sources

I made changes to the old Dolphin YouTube iframe code to include a whitelist of allowable video sources. I basically left the Dolphin iframe in place so that mine would not get changed during any upgrades. This would be a nice addition to Cheetah that would allow a white list to be developed, easily changed from the back end instead of editing the htmlpurifier iframe file when changes would be needed. I added several video sources; vimeo, facebook, bit chute (really important one with the YouTube censorship), etc so that my members could post videos from more sources. I posted my method of this on Boonex but of course a better solution than mine might be available now. Basically it uses regex to look at the URL and if matched, then allows the iframe to be embedded.

Switch to apply new membership immediately

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Switch-to-apply-new-membership-immediately

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Switch-to-apply-new-membership-immediately

As a sys-admin to a site one of the things I had to do at times was to change the starting date to immediately when someone upgraded their memberships. When a member upgrades to a higher level membership with increased access they often wanted the new higher level membership to start immediately so they could enjoy the new benefits. The current platform coding has it set so that the current membership has to expire before the new membership is in place. The reasoning here is to not short change the member with the number of days he/she paid for. This is fine when the membership level does not change but may not always be desirable when the member wants to have access to the increased benefits immediately. What is needed is a way for the member to decide if they want the higher level membership to take effect immediately or wait until the current membership expires. A simple checkbox (such as is presented to admins when they manually set memberships levels) when the person buys the membership will allow the member to decide if they want to discard the remaining time of their current membership when upgrading; it won't be needed if the membership level does not change.

add categories to profiles

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/add-categories-to-profiles

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/add-categories-to-profiles

tags are in the profile fields, why not categories. in my case, i am going to use the caegory section for genres instead. it would be nice to view member sby category (genre).

Update the colour picker

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Update-the-colour-picker

https://www.cheetahwsb.com/m/suggestions/view/Update-the-colour-picker

The colour picker that was in Dolphin was outdated years ago. The one included is an open source colour picker from a third party. It needs to be updated at some point and should allow alpha in the generated CSS. I changed it out years ago and put up a tutorial on Dolphin but the one I added doesn't appear to work with the newer versions of Dolphin.
